Privacy policy

GetStream is a film and series streaming service made by GetApps (“we”). This policy covers the website (getapps-getstream.web.app and getstream.getapps.tech), the web app and the GetStream Android app.

What we collect

• From Google sign-in: your name, email address and profile photo. We never see your Google password.
• Profiles you create: profile names, avatars, maturity settings, language and playback preferences, and a hashed PIN if you lock a profile.
• What you do in the app: My List, ratings, reminders, and how far you got in each title (so you can resume).
• Playback sessions: which title played on which device (a random device identifier and a label such as “Chrome on macOS”), when, for how long and at what quality. We use this to enforce the number of screens on your plan, to let you stop streams remotely, and for aggregate statistics.
• Subscription: your plan, its status and renewal date. Paid plans bought on the web are handled by Razorpay; we receive the payment's status and amount, never your card or UPI details.
• Ads you see (plans with ads only): which ad played during which title, and whether it was watched, skipped or clicked — so we don't repeat ads too often and can report totals to advertisers.

Ads

Plans marked “with ads” (including the free plan) show short ad breaks before, during or after a title. Paid plans without ads show none. Ads are either our own or come from Google, played by Google's Interactive Media Ads (IMA) SDK.

When a Google ad is requested, Google may receive your device's IP address, device and browser information and, on Android, your device's advertising ID, to choose, cap and measure ads, as described in how Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services. On Android you can reset your advertising ID or opt out of personalised ads in Settings › Privacy › Ads; in a browser, at adssettings.google.com.

Kids profiles never get Google ads, and only get our own ads if the service has turned that on.

What we don't do

We don't sell your data. We don't give advertisers your name, email or watch history; ad reports only show totals. There are no third-party analytics in the apps.

Where it's stored

Account data lives in our database hosted by Supabase. Video may be delivered by Supabase Storage, by our own media server, or by the video service that hosts a particular title (such as Bunny Stream or Cloudflare Stream); those requests carry your IP address and a short-lived playback token, not your account details. Google handles sign-in. Web pages are served by Firebase Hosting.

How long we keep it

For as long as your account exists. Playback sessions older than 13 months may be aggregated or removed. When you delete your account, everything above is deleted immediately.

Children

Accounts are for people 18 and over, who can create kids profiles for their family. Kids profiles only show titles rated U/A 7+ and below and are managed by the account holder.

Your choices

• Edit or delete profiles, lists and preferences at any time in the app.
• Stop active streams from Account › Devices.
• Delete your account — in the app, or by email.
